Walking Tall Project
The Cane Project as it was originally named, was the first project initiated by The Heart Of A Marine Foundation. Born out of the need to reduce the amount of hand irritants and blisters due to shepard canes (wood/metal hook hand grip) an orthopedic hand grip (ergonomically sculptured) and adjustable staff were the answer for those needing assistance with walking canes.
Now dubbed our Walking Tall Project, the Heart Of A Marine Foundation has donated over 5,000 canes to any military member in need.
The Heart Of A Marine Foundation has partnered with Edward Hines, Jr., VA Hospital in Chicago to provide 800 canes annually to their therapy departments.
Please contact The Heart Of A Marine Foundation if you, a family member, veteran, or someone you know in the military is in need of an orthopedic cane. We will be honored to send one to you without cost.
