The Heart Of A Marine Foundation is a non-profit organization that provides comfort, support, financial assistance, and educational resources to improve the quality of life of military personnel in ALL BRANCHES of the United States Armed Forces, including veterans, and their families.

Comfort

Walking Tall Project

  • The Foundation donates ergonomically correct, orthopedic canes to any military member or veteran in need. We ship canes from Coast to Coast!
  • The Foundation is partnered with Edward Hines Jr., VA in Chicago and donates canes to their therapy departments.

Clothing Assistance Program

Helping Hand to Homeless

The Foundation renovated a homeless veterans’ facility to make living quarters a home:

  • 15 new mattresses/bedding
  • New bath linens
  • Remodel of kitchen/new kitchen utensils/dishes/flatware
  • New washers/dryers and freezers
  • 60” flat-wall mounted TV
  • Painting of facility

Support

Aphasia Project

The Foundation donates interactive, rehabilitative, software as well as desk and lap top computers to VA Hospitals, and civilian facilities that treat veterans, to assist in the rehabilitation of traumatic brain injury and stroke victims.

Care Package Project

The Foundation mentors corporations and individuals in preparing care packages that will bring smiles and a taste of home to our troops in Afghanistan, and wherever our troops are stationed!

Financial Assistance

The Foundation supports Salute, Inc., and the Allen J. Lynch Medal of Honor Veterans Foundation; organizations that provide financial assistance for military personnel and family members demonstrating specific unmet needs.

Educational Resources

  • Lance Corporal Phillip E. Frank-Fifth Third Bank Memorial Scholarship program: Scholarships are awarded to those exemplifying the Heart Of Marine spirit: Honor, Patriotism, Loyalty, Respect, and Concern for others. Six $2,000 scholarships are awarded annually.
  • The Foundation donated computers to the TAP Program at Naval Station Great Lakes in Illinois. These computers aid in military personnel transitioning to civilian life.
