The Heart Of A Marine Foundation Mission

The Heart Of A Marine Foundation provides comfort, support, financial assistance, and educational resources to improve the quality of life of military personnel and veterans form all branches of the United States Armed Forces, veterans, and their families. 

Comfort

  • The Foundation supplies orthopedic canes to Walter Reed Army Hospital, Bethesda Naval Hospital, Wounded Warriors Center in Camp Lejeune, to any military member or veteran in need, without cost through our Walking Tall Project.
  • The Foundation sponsors 4 private rooms and 10 wheelchairs at Edward J. Hines VA Hospital in Illinois.

Support

  • The Foundation supplies interactive computer software as well as desk and lap top computers to VA Hospitals and civilian hospitals and rehab centers that have veteran programs to assist in the rehabilitation of traumatic brain injury and stroke victims through our Aphasia Project. 
  • Through the Package Project, The Foundation helps to bring smiles and a taste of home to our troops in Iraq, Afghanistan, and wherever our troops are stationed!
  • The Foundation continues to assist the USO by completely funding the USO mini-van that travels through 3 states providing military personnel with food items, refreshments, and support.
  • The Foundation supplied US flags to Patriot Guard Riders of Illinois and Warrior Watch.

Financial Assistance

  • The Foundation provides financial assistance for military personnel and families members demonstrating specific unmet needs.

Educational Resources

  • The Foundation funds and awards two $1,000 scholarships through the Lance Corporal Phillip E. Frank Memorial Scholarship program.
  • The Foundation supplies computers, training, and job search assistance for homeless veterans in partnership with the Illinois Department of Employment Securities in conjunction with the veteran outreach coordinator.
